I'm trying to find information about a performer that traveled the West Coast, playing Portland Oregon regularly (at The Agora Coffee House, primarily) during the late 60's. His name was(is) Jon Adams, and had been a friend/associate of Mark Spoelstra in Boston at one time. His guitar technique, on an old beat up 000-18 was amazing, and it became my primary inspiration for now over 40 years of trying to get that sound! If any one remembers him, or knows if he's still around, I'd like to have the opportunity to thank him.

Oops. I meant to say, try Faith Petric who is the Earth Mum of the S.F. folk scene. If anyone would know, she would, or could direct you to someone, etc. --> FaithPet@aol.com

Hopefully, the request is still alive these many years late. Jon is a member of the Fresno Folklore Society, Fresno, California. I spoke with him about five years ago in San Diego. He may still be active, but at age (circa) 75, I can't be certain.
