I was leafing through the paper today and came across a nice article on Taj Mahal, one of my favourite musicians.

I can't blueclickthing, but I can cut & paste. Check it out at:

Now I'm stunned. When I first checked my first post, the example showed as I thought it would. Now there is just the link instead of the source of the link.

That't the JoeClones MudGuard, fixing up the links.
And Joe fixed it back. I have to teach those guys that their "edit" buttons can totally mess up display HTML if they're not careful. It gets me really frustrated when they mess with my training guides (which isn't often, thankfully).

Dear Steve,

Thanks for the link. Taj has always been one of my favorites, too; very much a man I admire. He's a rare treasure, who both honors his roots and enriches the tradition with new shoots, grafts and hybrids of his own inimitable design.

I remember reading somewhere (probably liner notes on "The Rising Sons" CD - an early Taj band c. 1965 in which he teamed up with another precocious young guitarist named Ry Cooder) that he'd taken the name Taj Mahal when he was in a band called "The Seven Wonders of the World"...

Thanks again for a very pleasant read!
