Yes I can supply it. I'm tending not to so inform folk here at Mudcat, because everyone seems to be buying from someone else (a fact that Folk-Legacy has noted, as well.)
THe Proper set is $22.
There are two document singles, at $15 each that also are by Sister Rosetta.

Hi Kat. In addition to checking out what Camsco has available or can get, it sounds like Rick and Peter were perhaps recommending this particular CD, and that is what I am really after - a recommendation.

I believe there is a collection by the English company Proper that has 4 CDs and costs (retail!) about $22.00. I have a couple of other Proper boxes and the recording quality is 1st rate.

One of my fondest memories is a clip from an old TV gospel show of Sister Rosetta belting out some hot Gospel on a railway station. She was a big girl, and she made the Gibson SG TV she was playing look like a ukulele!

Ah-haaa, got a plug in for Dick AND a chance to tell you about a WONDERFUL album!

The CD is "Sister Rosetta Tharpe" the swinging Gospel Queen 1939-1947 and appears to be on "EPM" Musique" records. Guess it's a French import.

This woman is an amazing singer and guitar player! Certainly the equal (or better) of Memphis Minnie, Mavis Staples, Arizona Draines, Nellie Lutcher or any of my previous favourite women singers.....and her guitar picking is hot, and swings like mad.

I'd only heard a couple of cuts of Rosetta in the past and although i thought she was good, this album is simply a eye (and ear) opener. Grab it!
