Subject: Alice Sings! From: Alice Date: 06 Jan 01 - 10:15 AM Ok, here it is, shameless promotion to those who missed the Love Is Teasin' and Mudcatters on mp3.com threads. |
Subject: RE: Alice Sings! From: Allan C. Date: 06 Jan 01 - 01:10 PM Shameless? Perhaps. But there is certainly nothing there to be ashamed of. This is the best I have heard from you. Any chance you'll put "Roundup, Montana" on there? |
Subject: RE: Alice Sings! From: GUEST,Willie-O Date: 06 Jan 01 - 01:23 PM Alice sings real nice, sounds great even at Lo-Fi. W-O |
Subject: RE: Alice Sings! From: Alice Date: 06 Jan 01 - 01:54 PM I had forgotten about Roundup Montana, Allan. Being a parody, I think the tune is under copyright, so no go. Here is a link to a page where I am compiling samples of mp3's done by Mudcat members - click here - THE WILD BIRD'S NEST |
Subject: RE: Alice Sings! From: Barry T Date: 06 Jan 01 - 02:09 PM Oh swell, Alice! I already spend countless hours exploring the Mudcat and its members' talent. Now you've added a new aural dimension, that'll occupy even more time. ;-)
Great stuff! (And a nicely designed MP3 sample page, too!) |
Subject: RE: Alice Sings! From: Joe Offer Date: 06 Jan 01 - 03:35 PM Sounds wonderful, Alice. I have a technical question, though - how is the "download" link supposed to work. I clicked on it, and the song began to play, broken into little pieces, as it downloaded. Then there was no way to save the file and I hadto go look for it in my "temporary internet files" folder. Is there a less complex download procedure? I have to add this to my growing collection of Alice recordings. -Joe Offer- |
Subject: RE: Alice Sings! From: Alice Date: 06 Jan 01 - 03:44 PM I don't know, Joe. I click download and then I get a menu to save the file to my computer (remember I'm on a Mac) and I can choose wherever I want to save it. Then I listen to it using SoundJam, the mp3 software I have. I'm having a problem configuring Netscape to choose SoundJam for streaming, so I have to download each song first before listening to it. You can click on a "help" button at mp3 that might answer your question. |
Subject: RE: Alice Sings! From: Joe Offer Date: 06 Jan 01 - 05:00 PM Well, Alice, I got all three songs through some legerdemain, so I won't bother trying to figure out MP3.com. You sound great. Have you been following the Ben Bolt thread, sweet Alice? -Joe Offer- |
Subject: RE: Alice Sings! From: Mark Clark Date: 06 Jan 01 - 05:06 PM Joe, Try right-clicking on the download blicky and selecting Save Target As... That worked for me. Oh and Alice, wonderful job. Thanks, - Mark |
