I went back and read some of your threads - "Standing in the rain." Well this is one Vet who wishes to say "Thank You" for being there when my Brothers and Sisters came home. You didn't throw them away - we made our choices and took our chances as Patriots to Our Country. I to this day still hold the same moralistic and ethical beliefs that I went to Viet Nam over. It wasn't an issue of right or wrong - it was an issue of doing what we thought was right at the time with the information we had in hand. Funny - I would not do it again but I would not change the past either. I am praying that I have not started something that will cause you pain as it is not my intent. Thanks. I was there in spirit although I served stateside as an adjutant with the Transportation Corps. And you can see from other threads that above and beyond strong personal beliefs, and I can respect everything short of abuse to veterans, there are those who get pleasure out of pushing buttons and yanking chains. It is sick and has to stop. If not here, where.

My best to you both and my thanks. Mine stint was in the Gulf War. Given the same info I had then I'd do the same thing. Was any of it right? I don't know but I alwys viewed it as a higher calling. Kindest reguards, Neil
