Subject: RE: BS: PALTALK OPEN From: katlaughing Date: 13 Jan 01 - 03:54 AM It is sure different from the old HearMe sessions, isn't it? Not that that is bad, just different. I miss the old feeling of Mudcat community, it seems to get lost a bit and there doesn't seem to be as much vocal back and forth, after each song, such as someone commenting & then the performer telling a bit more about the song or whatnot. Great talents, though, really good music. Thanks, kat |
Subject: RE: BS: PALTALK OPEN From: Liz the Squeak Date: 13 Jan 01 - 06:09 AM Yeah, but no-one ever turned what you were typing into a song he was singing at that very moment!!! Good one Buffalo Billy, truly awesome!!! LTS |

Subject: RE: BS: PALTALK OPEN From: katlaughing Date: 13 Jan 01 - 06:53 PM Pelrad, Paltalk is what we've been using, instead of HearMe, for virtual song circles. If you go to PALTALK and download the program, then you can start it up, choose Groups, double click on Music, look for the Mudcat Song Circle, then come on in. The quality is really great! Hope that helps. kat |
Subject: RE: BS: PALTALK OPEN From: Jon Freeman Date: 13 Jan 01 - 06:53 PM Pelrad, check out this bit of the FAQ Jon |
Subject: RE: BS: PALTALK OPEN From: Catrin Date: 13 Jan 01 - 06:54 PM Pelrad - you have to do a search for 'Paltalk' and download the programme. When you've downloaded it, look for the Mudcat song circle - It's easy, only takes a few minutes. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with Macs.... Good luck, Catrin |
Subject: RE: BS: PALTALK OPEN From: Catrin Date: 13 Jan 01 - 06:58 PM Pelrad - 3 people answering you question at the same time! LOL Catrin |

Subject: RE: BS: PALTALK OPEN From: Jon Freeman Date: 14 Jan 01 - 03:26 AM Wow, that was quite a marathon. I have just closed the room down for now. Just had a thought: Pelrad, if you have trouble getting in for I while, I am sorry. Your name was showing on the list even though you had left ages ago and the only way I could shut down was to bounce you to get rid of all names on the list. It may take 24 hrs to clear. Jon |
Subject: RE: BS: PALTALK OPEN From: Pelrad Date: 14 Jan 01 - 11:01 PM No problem, Jon. So, my ghost was hovering in cyberspace...I hope it enjoyed itself. This computer has an unidentified hardware glitch. It freezes, and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. Guess who's going back to Hewlett Packard? |
