Hey, I just popped over to Yahoo, and entered "Red Clay Ramblers" under "Search", and got an _avalanche_ of responses! Far too much for me to search through on a whim, but probably hog heaven for a RCR fan!

HAVE FUN!

I CREPT INTO THE CRYPT
(Liz Anderson)

I went away to Egypt to work there for awhile
And fell in love with Tara, the flower of the Nile
I had to make some money so she and I could wed
That's when I got a job there working on the Pyramid

The Pharaoh of Egypt, a crummy little creep
Would come out almost every day inspecting in his jeep
He had a big fat stomach and a little pointed head
And everyone that saw him though he was already dead

And then one day it happened, the Pharaoh of Egypt
Came out to see how we were doing on his creepy crypt
He took one look at Tara and him she did beguile
The next thing that I knew they were both sailing down the Nile

And so I crept, I crept into the Pharaoh's crypt and cried
All alone there in that creepy crypt I cried, cried
I watched him sail away from me, my Tara by his side
That's when I crept into that crypt and cried

The rest of my story it's very hard to tell
They had a royal wedding, they rang that wedding bell
I watched until she promised to be his faithful bride
That's when I crept into that crypt and cried

Oh yes I crept I crept into that Pharaoh's crypt and cried
All alone there in that creepy crypt I cried, cried
I lost my little Tara and my tears I could not hide
That's when I crept into that crypt and cried
Oh yes I slipped into that sepulchre and sighed
I crept into the Pharaoh's crypt and cried.

Tune: The Finger of Suspicion Points to you (parody)

Someone crept into the crypt and crapped and crept away, The finger of suspicion points to you

According to WorldCat.org, I CREPT INTO THE CRYPT AND CRIED was earlier performed by Homer and Jethro, on their album "There's Nothing Like an Old Hippie" (1968).

You can hear their version at YouTube, here or here.
