alison and Liz-- you are going to have to fight off my daughter Kate (age 16), not to mention me, for Sean Connery!! I remember him the "way he was" and we both like him better the way he is now..........ooo lahh! Clinton, honey, it ain't the acting ability, it's the APPEAL!! We both LOVE Sam Elliot, and I like Lee VanCleef too, woo hah! Maybe because they all play dangerous men, that are actually safe? Does that make sense?

Natalie Portman is 19? I thought she was older. Just goes to show. It's been a few years since they made LEON guys, anyway Winona would be first choice...

my daughters would probably say Dame Maggie Smith, as in the Pride of Miss Jean Brodie, my husband thinks Helen Mirren, but I would probably have to dig up some obscure English character actress, because there aren't any Hollywood types that resemble me. Although I did have "lots and lots of curly hair" like Burnadette Peters at one time, but there the resemblance ends.

Are we supposed to choose young ones and try to use special FX to age them or vice versa?

Warning *THREAD CREEP* I LOVED "Finding Forrester". What's not to love, it's a movie about books and basketball!!! I almost applauded at the end. Also very much enjoyed "Chocolat", was disapointed by "What Women Want"

OK, back on Point. Who would star as me? I haven't a clue. Until age 30, my Mom always said one of the Hemingway sisters. Now maybe Camryn Manheim...

Natalie Portman is a little girl fer cristsakes!

Good to know I'm not the only one here with pedopheliac tendancies where she's concerned! LOL!!!

Eric stoltz... He's not bad I guess, but he's got a horrible agent... about the only really good role he's ever had was in "Killing Zoey"

To help out the movie-challenged... here's a link for you tot he best movie site on the internet....

http://www.imdb.com

Use it well my friend... Don't lose your head

And oh ya... what's with peoples facination with Sean frigg'n Connery?!?! The last movie he made that didn't stink to high-heaven was at least 10 years ago!?! maybe Finding Forrester will be better, but to me it looks like a cheep-ass "Good Will Hunting" rip off... Sean Connery needs to go away and take a few acting lessons so he's not always the same frigg'n character...

If Alec Guiness was still around, and miraculously 26 then he'd be great for the part but he'd probably take one look at the script and turn it down.

Anyway, as long as I get to star opposite Winona Ryder for some of it, I don't really mind. Or Natalie Portman, come to think of it.

Have to be Richard Dreyfuss. I used to go in a coffee shop and the woman at the counter kept telling me I looked like him. I couldn't see it at all. Then I watched him as the lawyer in The Dreyfuss Affair and we looked so much alike it was spooky. Of course now he'd have to shave off some hair....

Jane Horrocks is my hands down first choice.

My best friend, on the other hand, flattered me past all compare when I asked her and, after looking critically at me for a moment, replied,

"Jodie Foster."

WHOA!!!! I'll take that compliment any day!

I told her she would be a cross between Bernadette Peters and Bette Midler. She was fine with that *grin*

I got Whoopi Goldberg! Yes!!! Triplets! I win!! I got Whoopi!!! (Dang I love that Bert!!! Sneaky!!!)

Diveristy at Mudcat is on the rise!!! LOL!!! What, Bert, Whoopi the nun or Whoopi the psychic or Whoopi as Guinan or in The Color Purple? Or my luck, the maid in the Long Walk Home...

Hmmm, Sugar Dog already posted her stunt double, a link to a picture. Whoopi wouldda made a damn fine Sugar Dog. OK, Whoopi as Sugar Dog, but just her voice!!! cartoon!

Spaw, I think Karen just has a thing for Gene Hackman. She gets to play herself, right?

Bert = Lurch the Butler, because Barney Fife is out of the question and much too short for me to smack around.
