Thanks to the Elixir strings thread....I have just recieved a dozen sets of Martin SP Phosphor Bronze strings for exactly half the price I would have paid in the U.K. from one of the thread recommended suppliers in the USA. Even with VAT , carriage and a strange £2(pounds stirling) claimed by Royal Mail for collecting the VAT it worked out at £4.40 per set....and I pay £9 per set locally...

This is practical Mudcat in action. Much obliged...
