Coralena: I posted this on the Bluegrass thread before I realized you had started this Festivals thread- so please excuse the redundancy....

If you haven't been there already, try http://BGR.ee/LINKS/ (I suppose the uppercase letters are necessary) and click on the Calendar button . I don't know what part of the country you live in but there are still several festivals left this year in the southern states. Many local festivals don't make the list in the national/international publications, but if you can find a regional bluegrass organization they may be able to help. Good luck!

check out the Wings and Strings festival in Polk City, FL (near Tampa) on November 7, 8, &9. I will be attending for the first time, but judging by the lineup, it promises to be a good time.

I'm looking for festivals with bottleneck work shops. Did Fred McDowell teach anyone that now teaches? Also interested in best bets for harp playing, learning etc..

Here's a neat site I found; it's not complete, but its list seems to be growing, and it covers lots of different kinds of music:

Festival Finder
