If you like looking up old friends ( no, this is not a joke about kilts!) then try this website: www.friendsreunited.co.uk. It's very good and I promise I'm not on commission.

I HATE looking up old friends. Invariably they say "hey! nice to hear from you!" and then never answer your 2nd email.

Who needs it?

Alex

Alex,

However remote the possibility may seem, could their not answering your second email be something to do with you?

Ed

Of course it could. It probably does. No doubt the way I describe what I've been doing in the last 20 years makes them flee in terror.

Just tried it -found an old school friend and former neighbour who now lives in NZ. Couldn't stand her then so I probably won't be able to stand her now!

Reminds me of the gyneacologist who was sacked for 'looking up old friends'...

Thanks for that Captain Swing, I've tracked down my Old Boys Society website that I've been looking for for months. The School went bust and was closed down a while ago, so I'm grateful: a link with the past I've been trying to re-establish for a while.

Swing, this has the makings of a superb website and will improve its effectiveness as more people subscribe. I suggest that everyone who does subscribe then emails 10 friends to tell them about it.

Cheers - Race

The people they have chosen to put at the top of the page... Nivver mind...

I registered and got a lovely e-mail today from an old friend. Just the right time for me to start meeting up with old friends and acquaintances. I never wanted to (or felt able to) before. This could be a reason for people not keeping up the correspondence, Alex- they are at a different stage in their life from you?

Thanks, Captain Swing.

Noreen

Thanks Captain, I've just got in touch with an old college friend that I haven't seen in 25 years. And I've sent my 10 emails ......to different people!
