To all 'Catters in the Washington, DC area, don't forget the FSGW Annual Minifest tomorrow, Saturday, Feb 3 in Takoma Park, MD!
Mudcatters Ferrara, Songster Bob, Lorraine, lamarca (and probably others whose Mudcat names I don't know...) will be among those performing during the day, with a lot of audience participation. In the evening, there'll be a great concert featuring Pyrates Royale, HEM, the Ivan Dimitrov Bulgarian Dance Ensemble, Bill Baker, and Bruce Molsky and, concurrently, an evening dance with the Cajun/ Zydeco music of Savoir Faire Cajun Band and the Western Swing of the Oklahoma Twisters.
Events start at the crack of Noon at the newly rebuilt Takoma Park Middle School on Piney Branch Avenue. There's an admission fee, 'cause the whole thing is a benefit for the Folklore Society of Greater Washington. For a complete schedule, directions, prices, etc, go to this blue clicky:
