There seems to be a lot of debate over names and no Mudcat room open on PalTalk. I have just opened my old room.

Freedom to open one's own room. Couldn't be more exclusive. Any takers. BG Happily open. Geordie Broon

Too bad that everyone isn't as delicate and refined as harpgirl. We must all use here fine standards for our example to follow.

NightWing, it is on Pal Talk and the name is Mudcat Song Circle. Just open groups and make sure you check the box that says always show adult groups. Then open Music groups and you will find it listed there.

harpgirl, I asked freefalling to cease for the evening because of you. I did in no way incourage him. I atleast have the courage to tell someone to their face when I have a problem and not make inuendoes and run!

You could well do with a lesson in manners harpgirl!

You could also use a big lesson in humility, Harp. It just might shrink your head a few sizes.

OMG, here we go again...

Tonight was a great night with some excellent singing and playing going on and there was only one spot of real trouble - I bounced someone but that didn't upset the evening. Even Harpgirl appeared to be enjoying herself as she came in a second time and I thought she was enjoying dwditty and waters playing the blues - certainly not stuff I would call low brow!!!

Tonights second little episode was caused by Harpgirl having a go at freefalling for shouting (using caps to go something like WOWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEE) which is quite acceptable in Paltalk. OK FreeFalling made his point and rather than let it drop, carried on having little digs about using caps but said nothing offensive.

There is little an admin can do about that other than try to ask that the subject is dropped which I did as this issue was IMO strictly between HG and Freefalling and ws in fact of HG's creation - "I'm sorry" from her would probably have resolved the issue. As for the open vs closed comments - this could just have easily occured in a closed Mudcat room.

NightWing, assuming you have a PC, go to Paltalk and download and install the software.

There are various rooms around used by Mudcatters which, when open, will apear in the Music Category of the Groups menu - you need the show adult groups checked to see them. What is open and when is usually announced in the threads. I have shut mine down for tonight.

*sigh* Late as usual.

Well, at least I've got the download. I can do the installation and setup an account whenever. 'Nother time, hopefully.

Jon,

Left you a message on Pal Talk. My PCC suddenly threw craps and closed our Pal Talk, MSN, and Netscape and gave me a message about there being a server or connection problem. By the time I was able to get it back working again you had closed the room.

Thanks for an outstanding evening!!

Katcina

But if the password was given out to every anonymous GUEST it wouldn't be an exclusive cliquey room any more, would it?? *LOL*

Mike, I know this is going to sound baised coming from me but, even with the hiccups, last night was genuinely one of the most enjoyable nights I have spent on Hearme/Paltalk.

My higlight of the night came with waters. I had never seen him in the room before and as his hand shot straight up when he entered, I was a little nervous and decided to politely mention that the room was a strictly live room before I put him on for his turn. He said something like "don't worry" and then went on to (I think) astound everybody with his playing and singing. I for one certainly hope to hear him again.

Another highlight was Geordie Broon making his PalTalk debut - that was great; the regulars were on fine form...

You did miss a good one. Hope to see you in Paltalk soon,

Jon

Harpgirl your comments are uncalled for and extremely offensive. You have contributed nothing to Hearme and Paltalk but acrimony. Please do take a long break from us you will not be missed at all. Yours, Aye. Dave

Harpgirl - if your comments had a little more substance and reason I too would find them offensive. The world is going round at 1000mph. GROW UP THEN COME BACK.

GUEST, Sorry to have missed you - you would have been welcome. The password was jon.

The (temporary) room was set up as a joke beween Dave and myself and was open for about 10 minutes from around 8:00pm GMT on Tuesday night and that was the only time it ever existed. Have you really been feeling so left out for 2 days that you need to ask now?

Seriously, take more care when posting anonymously you could end up giving yourself away.

Jon

Much better the inmates and a great night of fun and frolic than the ineffective cursed cure feom the horse pill pusher with down turned mouth from sniffing too much resin for a harp that is never heard.
