Kris, no age restriction to being a youth hosteller, and I think only the person booking has to be a member. They allow alcohol these days, and you can bring your car! I'll find out more and post details.

Ella,

I also go to the Conway, on a Thursday. Sometimes Mulligans on a Monday. Was there briefly last night.

Do we know each other or know people in common ?

I'm here on Portland, and also mentioned on Bill's list. I know Vindelis and Shambles, but where are you on Portland Grumpy Al?

I keep mentioning digital tradition and the mudcat cafe at the Harbury (Warwickshire) monthly folk club, but so far don't think anyone else has looked. It's a good club though so if you haven't found it! I live in Coventry and am a member of a Border Morris side calle Plum Jerkum.

Any local catters welcome to contact.

I'm afraid I can't make Whitby Moor and Coast it clashes with the German gathering which I have promised to go to. And the tobacco is cheeper over there.

Hiya Bill

Confirming last nights conversation I'm definitely in for a UK wide 'do'. Between North England and Dorset? How about somewhere like Cropredy - or does someone already use that venue?;-) Seriously - we held a do for people from the North West/North East/Midlands/Berkshire and Bristol - Warwick proved to be easiest and had loads of hotels and other bits of interest.

Cheers

DtG
