Hi, Roger - you should be able to get a pretty good count of German Mudcatters from the German Mudcatter Get-Together thread. I don't have a way to search the registration by place name, so I can't give you a number from registration. As I recall, we have some 5,000 registrations, but there are some guilty parties around here who have multiple registrations, for Lord knows what reason.
I do have to say that I question the wisdom of setting up one thread for each nation. I suppose you'll do what you want, but it looks like clutter to me.

Thanks Joe, I did see that thread but I did not want to leave our German friends out, as I started threads for most of the counties I could think of, where there are Mudcatter's.

Have I missed any?

Joe if the registration numbers are allocated sequentially, we have had around 8000 registrations. I have just a rough and ready count using the send pesonal message and allowing 26 enries per page on my browser and that takes me to 7400+ - maybe there are some gaps/ phyiscal deletions of some records but the figure is considerably higher than 5000.

Of course this figure includes duplicates and members who have long since gone and is pretty meaningless (I wonder how many members pass through here say at leas once a month for example) but maybe people should realise what a large Database they are adding to (and adding confusion and in a sense further redundancy to) when they create extra identities.

Still, I thought Shambles' new thread very considerate. Thank you, and please join us (like many other non-Germans have done) in the above-mentioned thread

Wow! I was just thinking about starting thread on this subject. I will be passing through Frankford, Germany in March and have a 3 hour lay over before going on to Italy, and my Grandson. Any advice on changing planes, finding the right gate, etc?

Don't worry, bet,
everybody official speaks English at any German airport and even the loudspeaker announcements are in English as well and the signposts.
You wouldn't be able to the the difference within the first five minutes.

But bet, be careful, as best I remember when in an airport that announces in English second...there is so much noise after the first announcement that it's hard for me to understand the second one. Tears no longer seem to be effective (at my age), so it's best to know a few words of many languages and keep a smile ready.
