just noticed a "squid jigging ground" room in the music group..... looks like a shanty room to me.. but its locked.. does anyone know the owner or the password?

Alison, I have wondered about that one too. I'm not sure it will be a shanty room though - the Squid Jigging Ground isn't or at least not the way I have heard it. ?Canadian music?

a know a few mentioned opening a shanty room at some stage... that's why I jumped to that conclusion....

In that case maybe you could try going to one of the other Canadian rooms and ask around. I spent some time a few weeks ago with some very friendly folks in a room called something like Canadian/Atlantic/Celtic Connection (mostly they were playing records for each other but they were very nice people) and there is often one called Newfie Kitchen Party. So you could try that. Sqid Jigging, though, that's good! Margaret

Thanks all. I had a great night in another Canadian room - can't remember the room or be sure of the name of the owner - something like "CaperNewfie" - he lives in Cape Breton but was from Newfoundland - he is sure to know what this room is about.

The room I went to played a lot of recordings (and they played some Natalie McMaster and Stan Rogers for me) but it was very friendy - must have been, they even seemed to like my singing of "Farewell To Nova Scotia" - and I would vist it again.

...just remembered I had promised him an Mp3 of La Grande Chaine played by Pauline Cato and Tom McConville but lot his email address... must find him again.
