Mary McLaughlin does a beautiful song called "Bring the Peace" on a Narda CD called Celtic Voices. Do any guitar-players out there know it and if so, can you give me some basic chords for it? Thanks - I won't be able to get it out of my head until I learn to play it.

I can't help with chords, but I'll start the ball rolling by posting these lyrics. I found them lyrics here: http://lyrics.wikia.com/Mary_McLaughlin:Bring_The_Peace – and then made a few corrections according to how I heard the song at Spotify.

BRING THE PEACE
Written by Mary McLaughlin
As sung by Mary McLaughlin on "Daughter of Lir" (1994)

1. Is it true that you've come back? Is it true that you're here?
Is it true after all this time the cycle's complete?
And have you brought the wisdom that we had, then lost?
And have you brought the peace that we've been aching for?

2. Is it true you've been waiting for your chance to come?
Is it true that you're coming now like Saul on the wind?
And have you brought the wisdom that we lost, then found?
And have you brought the peace as balm for our wounds?

3. Is it true you knew the answers when you last appeared?
There was no one in this land who couldn't hear.
So bring us back the wisdom we were forced to let go.
Oh, bring us back the peace to feed our hungry souls.

REPEAT VERSE 1.

Oh, can you bring the peace that we're all aching for?
Oh, can you bring the peace that we're all aching for?
Oh, can you bring the peace?
