I just don't feel comfortable talking into that smaller phone, with the thumb just dangling out useless. I guess the thumb could be considered an antenna, notwithstanding. But (conjunction) {those are parentheses, these are brackets} [or maybe these are brackets and those are some other thing] what really bugs me is when somebody makes a pistol out of their finger and fires it by bending their thumb forward. What kind of goofball trigger mechanism is that anyway? Are they too lazy to use their other hand to pull the imaginary slide back, notwithstanding? |

Having said that I feel an obligation to cite a couple of things I find irritating: Anybody who says "in this day and age", implying that the calendar date has some relevance to the question of whether something is right or wrong.
Statements of the form "You make me angry".
People who say "in a perfect world" as a way of justifying adding to its imperfection. |
