Internationally acclaimed guitarist/composer Gordon Quinton was born in Windsor, Newfoundland and now lives in St. John's. A self-taught musician, he specializes in original compositions as well as in traditional and folk music. Gordon has composed and performed music for local and national films and his recordings have been used in traditional music classes at the University of Waterloo in Ontario. He has received excellent reviews in national and international publications.

Gordon has appeared on many CBC television and radio programs including the CBC national series' Disc Drive, Gilmour's Albums, Morningside, Gabereau, The Max Ferguson Show and D'une plage a l'autre (Radio Canada), and internationally on American Public Radio and the BBC.

Gordon was a member of the popular group Ward Six, which released an album in the early 1970s. He has since produced five instrumental guitar recordings, Guitar Songs, Woodnight Moon, Wildwood Flower, Sea-Winds: Original Guitar Music from Newfoundland (solo), and the newly released North Atlantic Dance. Independently distributed on his Woodnight Records label, Gordon's recordings have crossed international borders into countries such as Japan, Norway, and Australia. He has also contributed musically on several recordings by local artists.

WOW! Superb! Does his company have an online site to order from, John? Your own CD? Do you have others we've not heard about?

This sounds fantastic! Thanks for the heads up!
