PARTLY:

People from my part of the world are nicknamed GEORDIES

Newcastle Brown Ale is a famous alcoholic beverage from there and is known locally as BROON (Brown).

Hence GEORDIE BROON in memory of my drinking days.

Well, I sure recognized chanteyranger the instant I laid eyes on him... and I've been Mrrzy all my life, but I'm not sure it's descriptive - it's certainly meaningful - well, to me, anyway, and it means me to anyone who knows me for any length of time... does that count?

Mine is to a degree. I'm of Irish extraction and I'm the first Sergeant for the unit I do Civil War reenacting with hence, Irish sergeant. The "s" in sergeant being lower case is a standard typing snafu. (Damn these twentieth century devices anyway!) Kindest reguards, Neil

From: English Jon

English Jon, so named by the staff of the boat race in cambridge. I tend to turn up at the (irish dominated) folk sessions, fiddle case emblazoned with the george cross (and hammer and sickle) and play henrico and speed the plough etc, or a stack of 3/2 hornpipes in between kerry polkas, slips slides and reels.

Anyone wants to know any more, my CV (largely true) is at www.jonloomes.com

I'm glad i asked. Leprachaun, Meloshin and Mouldy made me laugh out loud. Just me, alone, sitting before the screen laughing, well, chuckling in demonic fervour really.

And Hawker, I am only 5 ft 6 tall. it's only when you compare me to a yorkshire Terrier that I look taller.

Thanks for the laugh, all, and Mouldy. Get out of the damp atmosphere for God's sake!

Actually, "Crazy Eddie" is a concept rather than a being, taken from a Sci-Fi book by Niven & Pournelle. Not sure it is accurate, but I try my best not to quit just because a thing is deemed impossible.
