Subject: I can't remember this song...please help
From: GUEST,kafree191

I need this song for a school project and I can't remember the title. I sang in a few years ago in a choir. It goes...

Fare thee well my darling to America,
I will wait in Ireland for ye.
When the warm Sun of Texas makes the grain grow tall,
My darling, you'll come back for me.

It's about a man Patrick, who is traveling to America where his brother is "Patrick had a brother who was already there, together they worked on the land...." and he plants a rose for Molly. Then he dies and she is left in Ireland. I think it had something about the Emerald Isle in it. If you know what song this is please email me! Kafree710@hotmail.com I need help!

I've looked all over everywhere, with all the phrases, and I'm not having any luck at all.........call up your old choir teacher and ask? Dig out your choir programs?

Not heard of it, sorry, and I've searched Google for "warm Sun of Texas" and "I will wait in Ireland for ye", with no success.

If anyone would know it would be Sandy Paton or Dick and/or Susan of the DT. I didn't have any luck, either.

Would you be able to post the rest of the words, and the name of the person who wrote it? I don't know if Kafree is still around after eight years, but it would be interesting to know -
