"Cowdenknowes" is one word as a rule, but this isn't the first time somebody has asked for "Cowden Knowes"; if you had searched in the "Digitrad and Forum Search" box on the main Forum page, cowden knowes would have got you a thread with lyrics, as would just cowden.  broom of the, on the other hand, would have got you a lot more.  Have a look at  Search Tips  in the FAQ thread at the top of the Threads list for lots of useful guidance on finding things in the DT and Forum.

As I pointed out on the other thread the earliest version (missed by Child) is "The Merry Broomfield" on the Bodley Ballads website.
