Help: fiddle tune rhythms

Masters of blickys and all things folk;

Hate to bother you but as I've been teaching myself fiddle tunes (on guitar) I realize that about the only dance rhythm I do no how to count out is a waltz.

Is there some place to go, or can you help me compile a source for the counting rhythm of jigs reels etc.?

Waltz=1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, etc.

I do better with words than numbers.

A waltz would be la-di-da, la-di-da
A jig (similar to waltz, but faster) goes bumpity, bumpity, bumpity - or Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. (123, 456)
A reel goes diddle-deedle-doodle-dawdle - or peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold.(1234,1234)

jigs are 6/8 1 2 3 4 5 6 (accents on 1 and 4) 2 beats per bar reels 4/4 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (accents on 1 & 5) 2 beats per bar
