I found a set of 3-12" 78rpm records by this guy a long time ago. There were 3 stories about Herbert the Horrible, a nasty little kid who was so bad even his parents didn't want him around. Then on the flip side were 3 stories about Sam Small, a soldier who, again, could do little to please anyone. The stories about young Herbert were my favorites. Not exactly childrens stories they are great to recite during this or any season. I believe Pat also did voice overs for the original 101 Dalmations movie that Disney produced. Another wonderful story teller that I ran across via 78rpm hunting was a guy named James Copp III. He accompanied himself with brief piano embellishments on the two cuts that I found to accent his stories Peaches and Myrtle and The Rapids. Peaches and Myrtle is just a hoot about two roomates who are in show business, seeking publicity.

Anyone else out there ever heard of these two?

Has anyone else run across some others like them, silly story tellers/entertainers that you can share with us?

is it just me or is it that every time you turn around you read about someone named O'Malley..is it their clan resurrecting..perhaps under the leadership of Grace? We could have a Pope O'Malley (worse things could happen), a president O'Malley..we have an ambassador, I think to Japan, there was just one named in Minnesota to sort out the child abuse stuff...Great family there Grace..although I think she was an O'Flaherty or Moriarty perhaps.
