This is not exactly "been there, done that, got the funeral urn...".

So, you many-faceted geniuses of the 'Cat, let's see your best shot at anecdotal evidence for reincarnation.....

Possessed Peacock Pines for Home

PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - A peacock possessed with the soul of a 28-year-old Cambodian has taken up residence with the deceased woman's family, a newspaper says.

Hundreds of villagers visit the peacock every day to offer holy water and money with the hopes it will heal their ailments, Buddhist Cambodia's Koh Santepheap (Island of Peace) newspaper said Saturday.

Um Sokhom told her father a week before she died that she was finished with human life and would return as a bird, the paper said, quoting the father.

Three days after her March 3 burial in a village in Kompong Chhnang province, about 50 miles northwest of Phnom Penh, the father, Um Sum, returned home from work to find a peacock sitting on his daughter's grave.

Addressing the bird, Um Sum said: "Sokhom, if your soul is really in the peacock, please come to the bed where you used to sleep.

"The bird seemed to understand the human words and jumped on the bed and relaxed," he told the paper.

Buddhists believe in reincarnation, or a cycle of reincarnations, before attaining nirvana, the end of individual existence.

Gee!! Where's all them songsters? Anyone wanna try the kitty came back, the very next day? Or,

"No you don't know the one,
who sits upon your bed,
with peacock feathers stuck,
into her tail and head,
oh please don't ask me how,
I am a peacock now,
but you don't know me!". Or maybe,

"After I've gone, and left you cryin,
after I'm gone there's no denying,
you'll feel weird, what the hell,
when I show up again in a full-grown peacock shell!
OH, there'll be a time, now don't you smile,
a moment or two, of sheer denial,
after I'm gone, after I'm gone awaaaaay!".

Well?....I'm waiting....

Well, this is obviously why the Universe invests the Gaelic Goddess with that strange phosphorescent green glow, and all I get is the usual flesh tones. She makes these things swing, and all I get is "thinking about it!". Obviously, she has the Deft Touch!! :>))

This one seems too difficult...hmmm...

The other ones seemed 'strange but true.'

This one seems more like it could be 'true but strange!'

Deadbird
tune: Freebird (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

If I die here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on now
There's too many species I gotta be
But if I stayed here with you, Dad,
Things just couldn't be the same
Cos I wanna be a bird, now
And this bird you cannot change

Bye bye, it's been a sweet life
I'll see you in a day or two
But please don't take it badly
If sometimes I sh*t on you
Now I'm back and I'm a bird now
Compared to being human it's not the same
But I came back as a bird, now
And this bird you cannot change

Lord knows, I can't change

LOL, Alex!!! If I WERE the GG, which I am not, you'd get the Silver BLOB award for ...
Bye bye, it's been a sweet life
I'll see you in a day or two
But please don't take it badly
If sometimes I sh*t on you

Great song!
