Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The silkie of skule skerry From: Noreen Date: 13 Mar 01 - 09:27 AM Jimmy, there are three versions of Ned of the Hill in the Digital Tradition database (explore the blue box at the top right of this screen to see its wonders). Click here to get directly to the first versionn, then select "next entire page" to find the others. Welcome to the Mudcat! Noreen |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The silkie of skule skerry From: Malcolm Douglas Date: 13 Mar 01 - 03:44 PM For myself, I find the "Digitrad and Forum Search" on the main Forum page to be the most useful of the search engines available on this site, as it searches the bodies of files in the DT database and Forum discussions as well as their titles; in this case, a search for the title of either song would have found not only song texts, but also discussions and background information. More information about the Mudcat and finding your way around it is available in the FAQ thread at the top of the thread list; I strongly recommend that you read through it. Malcolm |
