Subject: Hootie Quotes Dylan -- but what song? From: MF/DC Date: 01 Nov 97 - 11:26 AM "Only Wanna Be With You" by Hootie -- the Pop-est of Pop, & a very limited song... includes a lyrical quote attributed to Bob Dylan (below) Put on a little Dylan Sitting on a fence I say that line is great You ask me what I meant by * "Said I shot a man named Gray Took his wife to Italy She inherited a million bucks And when she died it came to me I can't help it if I'm lucky" Only Wanna be with you ... Blah, blah, blah... Does anyone know if the quoted is indeed by Dylan and, if so, can anyone point me toward the song the quotes is from? MANY THANKS. Trying to win a little bet with big audience. :) |
