Back in the good old days we used to notice when a regular cat was off for a while, but I guess there's too many of us now for that kind of attention. I haven't seen two of my faves for awhile, anyone know what Kendall and Sophocleese are up to?

Anyone else missing?

Katcina posted, today. Sophocleese hasn't posted in over a month. Kendall posted just at the end of February. Haven't see Harpgirl, either, as well as moonchild in quite a while.

Moonchild is posting under a different name. She posted to a music related thread a few days ago. I was told that Sophocleese is having computer problems.

I saw Sophocleese about a week ago in Orillia, but didn't get a chance to talk...that is, I saw her from my car. Maybe she's taking a holiday from Mudcat for awhile.

This is great, we could start a thread, Mudcat Patrol or Mudcat Spotters...whenever we catch sight of one of us, we could post it there, like the Audubon Society does with their annual bird count.:-)

And then we could clip little bands on their ankles and track their nesting habits for a year or so...or maybe not. Wouldn't want to be the one who has to get Kendall to the ground and tranquilize him before attaching the band. But I would love to watch someone else try.

Does it occur to any of you that people have their reasons for not being "around?" Reasons, to which you are not privvy? An interesting byproduct of the internet is that one may view others' discussions regarding their whereabouts.

A snail delivered a letter today from Kendall in Florida, where the "wind chill factor" was 70 degrees. The old bugger was rubbing it in, since we're supposed to get snow tonight.

No big secret. No thirty years in the desert. Kendall is in Florida. And Sophocleese, from what I heard, is having computer problems. And if either is reading this, he or she will see only friends missing their clever banter and wise words.
