I'm sorry, I just have to say this - I think Richard Thompson gets sexier and better by the year. In fact, I would say he IS the Sean Connery of Folk.

Suggestions for the "something" of Folk, any one?

I know Thompson quite well. His music is really great. I'm singing some of his song e.g. "when the spell is broken" and others together with a friend of mine.

But I would call him "quite nice" but not at all "sexy".

Richard Thompson is a genius musician and writes some fab songs (wall of death is the best) but personally i think he is quite satanic looking! i am sure he's a really nice guy but i would run a mile if he was coming up a dark alley towards me!!!!

BTW, just thought of it. Shania made the front page of the Moncton Times & Transcript today. Preggers she is. I agree with the sexy genius idea...Stevie Ray Vaughn was an ugly git technically, but i still thought he was the sexiest thing ever to play an electric guitar..it was the passion he put into it I think.

I've been hearing alot of RT lately, but I hadn't seen a picture of him in recent years until I stumbled upon the April issue of Dirty Linen which features Sir Richard on the cover ...I must admit I remember thinkin to my self..'mmmm, he IS as sexy as he sounds'...so for what its worth, throw my vote in as well;-)
