HI there I am looking for the alternate words to "Has anybody seen my gal" which starts off something like, "6 foot 2, cobalt blue, 4 transistors in each shoe..." I heard it in the late 70's but it dates from at least the 50's or 60's... thanks Fran

Frances, it can't date from b4 the 60s, on account of how transistors weren't around until then!

Graham.

It was an Alan Sherman version, I think. I'm sure it has been mentioned here before if you do a DT/Forum search.

Subject: Lyr Add: EIGHT FOOT TWO SOLID BLUE (Allan Sherman)
From: IanC
Date: 26 Mar 01 - 10:05 AM

Will this do?

Sherman Allan - Non Album Tracks

Eight Foot Two, Solid Blue

Last night I met a man from Mars, and he was very sad.
He said, "Won't you help me find my girl friend, please?"
So I asked him, "What does she look like?",
And the man from Mars said, she's

Eight foot two, solid blue,
Five transistors in each shoe,
Has anybody seen my gal?
Lucite nose, rust-proof toes,
And when her antenna glows,
She's the cutest Martian gal.

You know she promised me, recently,
She wouldn't stray,
But came the dawn, she was gone
Eighteen billion miles away.

Her steering wheel has sex appeal,
Her evening gown is stainless steel,
Has anybody seen my gal?
How I miss all the bliss
Of her sweet hydraulic kiss,
Has anybody seen my gal?
Lovely shape, custom built,
Squeeze her wrong and she says "tilt",
Has anybody seen my gal?

She does the cutest tricks, with her six stereo ears.
When she walks by, spacemen cry,
'Specially when she shifts her gears.

If she's found, rush like mad,
Put her on a launching pad,
Down at Cape Canaveral,
And shoot me back my cutie,
My supersonic beauty,
Send me back my Martian gal.

Subject: Lyr Add: HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY GHOUL? (Jody Gibson)
From: CRANKY YANKEE
Date: 03 Apr 01 - 05:18 PM

Here's one of my original parodies, except for first line which is almost like the one liner I heard in the Service.

HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY GHOUL? words by Jody Gibson
I six foot nine, eyes that shine, made by Doctors Frank and Stein.
Has anybody seen my ghoul?
Huge, by heck, bolt through neck, face is just a total wreck
Has anybody seen my ghoul?
If you should see that old "Creepy" don't stop and stare. Scream and yell run like Hell,
Get your Ass away from there. (nautical version, "Scream and shout, come about)
Means no harm, but if his arm hugs you, Man, You've bought the farm.
Has anybody seen my ghoul

II Where his hair is it's square, clothes fit average grizzly bear
Has anybody seen my ghoul?
Skin hangs slack, face marked "lak" itsy bitsy railroad track
Has anybody seen my ghoul?
If you should be in his proximity, start having a fit
Your Soul consign to The Lord, Divine, 'cause your ass belongs to it.
it's no jive, he's alive, get it out of overdrive
Has anybody seen my ghoul?

on the preceding, first line should read,
Six foot nine, eyes that shine made by doctors Frank and Stein.

Nearly 40 years ago, Cobourg, Ontario doctor Paul Caldwell and lawyer Brad Halls released an album called "New Kids On The Block". Since Canada was adopting the metric system, they wrote these words to the song:

She's a centimetre shorter than a metre and a quarter,
And ev'ry millimetre is in perfect working order,
Has anybody seen my gal?
I know I'm only human but I still have the acumen
To know her eyes are flashing 'bout a half a million lumen,
Has anybody seen my gal?
A pair of gorgeous gams on her fifty kilograms
When she twirls her skirts.
My chest just thumps and my heart rate jumps
About a hundred kilohertz!
But Fahrengrade or Centiheit,
She's gonna light my fire tonight,
Has anybody seen my gal?
