Actually, some of the artists on borealisrecords.com are stating the dates are 29-30 June on the Harbourfront.

Julie....I'm in charge of the email calendar for the Toronto Song Circle. If you send me your email address, I will send you the schedule, as well as my phone number so you can call me when you get here.

There are also things that happen regularly down at the Flying Cloud Folk Club downtown, and the Acoustic Harvest Folk Club in Scarborough, which is a little jaunt away from downtown.

I hope spring will have arrived by the time you get here, Julie....

Markham is about 45-55 minutes from Orillia. I doubt that we could drag you out of the Big O in July though. That's when it's at it's very best.

So how's this for an idea? I know of a place in Markham that you can rent on the cheap. It's a beautiful old schoolhouse, reminds me of Greenbank, only not nearly as nicely finished. I have held musical events there several times.

Would anybody consider picking one of those days, renting the place, have a pot luck, have a passing of the hat to cover the cost ($65 CDN last year, I doubt it's gone up) of the hall and maybe a donation jar, all money raised going to the Mudcat. I could probably provide a P.A.

This is something that I had wanted to do anyway. I would have to see if the hall was available that weekend, but it could coincide nicely.

He's a pretty damn famous musician, who's revealed his true identity to only a handful here. He's given me permission to tell you who he really is....but do the words " Country Roads take me home...." ring a bell? After years of autograph hounds and teenage girls throwing themselves at him, he faked his death and moved to Ohio, where lives in seclusion.

Sorry Devilmaster......I'm down here in Ohio, but the 'Cat keeps me pretty well connected to "you guys up north."........as well as the Aussies and those across the pond. After awhile you get to know everybody and everybody's business. The joint is really a little community of it's own, but in 3-D we're pretty far flung. What's fun though is developing a friendship so far away. One of my favorite buddies here is Bugsy and in Perth, Western Oz, he's about as far away as they get!

Well, I'd be pretty sure that Rick will be there, plus we have about a zillion 'Catters in Toronto, not to mention the Orillia bunch, and nobody does want to mention them. Then maybe Mike Regenstreif, being a folk DJ, will be there from Montreal and if you can prise Clinton's dead ass over that way, it could be a monster.

It seems that Borealis records is holding a 5th anniversary party in Toronto those dates. Apparently its a free concert on the harbourfront. The only act I personally know of is Tom Lewis. Wondering if any catters would want to meet up for it.
