If she sees this I am in trouble !!!!
So please Joe Clones feel free to delete this plug for her new CD
Here is the info from an email received via Bils website
Bill's new CD Panchpuran is on special early release from Thursday April 12th to all members of Bill's mailing list, four weeks before its general release date of Monday May 7th 2001.

Produced by Karen Tweed (The Poozies, Swap), Panchpuran features a wide variety of songs and styles drawn from the folk tradition of the British Isles, all stamped with Bill's individual approach and interpretation. Fresh from her success as the Horizon (Best Newcomer) Award winner at the BBC Folk Awards 2001, Panchpuran is Bill at her best, and looks set to top the success of Turn to Me.

As with Turn to Me, recording took place at Brian Bedford's (Artisan) Park Head Studio. Musicians featured on the CD include Coope, Boyes & Simpson on harmony vocals, Kathryn Tickell on fiddle, Kellie While (E2K, the Albion Band) on harmony vocals, Paul Jayasinha on 'cello and flügelhorn, Keith Angel (The John Tams Band) on percussion, and David Wood on guitar. Also listen out for a brass band from County Durham on one track, and a beautiful Finnish string quartet backing two songs.

Panchpuran is a Hindi expression that literally means five spices (okay, out with the Folky Spice jokes!), but is used in the title track, written by Bill, to mean many different things all thrown into a pot and mixed together. Not only does this word apply well to the CD and Bill's musical influences, but also to Bill's family background: Bill's Mum is from India, and the song is about the trials of adjusting to life in a country which is not your homeland.

To order your copy of Panchpuran (and/or Turn to Me), send your request with your name and address to

Brick Wall Music, PO Box 391, Sunderland. SR6 8YN

Roger, I think she won't mind an obvious plug thread *grin* as much as not being able to contribute to threads on other subjects without being made a fuss of...

...watch her come in and tear a strip off you now!

You may like to know that Bill's new albulm was extensively reviewed on BBC Radio Lancashire's Folk Programme "Th Lancashire Drift "last night. Nick dow and I (the presenters of the show) both loved it - hope this helps
