Now we can get back to folk songs. Let's have 3 cheers for Child #1. Anyone here known any other folk songs?

"God's Gift To Warthogs" is a really good humorous song by the little-known George Coventry. Oh, wait... you asked for a FAMOUS song? Sorry.

...um, "Love Is A Flame", by the same guy?

When did that become a folk song?

Oh, please! Not that discussion again about what is and is not a folksong....

It's never been on the radio. It's normally played acoustically by one person with a guitar. It's popular among those who have heard it, which is a small number of people in a small part of Canada, plus a few people in Cuba. They all heard it live. Other local musicians like it and some have covered it. It was not written to make money but for its own sake.

Good enough?
