Subject: 'Tie a yellow ribbon...' lyrics? From: Alana Date: 17 Jun 99 - 05:05 PM Hello, just cruising around the Internet looking desperately for the words to the song that goes: "Tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree, it's been three long years..." I can't remember any more of the song and it's driving me crazy, I also can't find the words anywhere and that's driving me crazy too. If anyone knows 'em or knows where I can find 'em, it would be much appreciated. Thank you. Tie a Yellow Ribbon - origins (click) |

Subject: An appeal, please! From: Eric the Viking Date: 08 Apr 01 - 07:14 PM Does anyone have a copy, in a transerable to me, printable format with dots and music score for "Tie a yellow ribbon" in the Key of D please. My son is in the local gang show and it's his solo. The trouble is it's in the key of F. There isn't time for the band to transcribe it and none of them know how to do it on a computer, neither do I. The band consists of; Drummer, keyboard, 2 Sax and clarinets, a flute and a pianist. I need to be able to give them all a copy if they are to be able to play it in D.(F is far too high for him and though he sings it well, the highest notes are beyond his reach) I asked the pianist and conductor what key would be best, I was told D. If you can help, you will be forever friends to my son. Curtain goes up on Wednesday, dress rehersal tomorrow, well in about 12 hours time from now. Thankyou. Eric |
