The Chinese and Japanese versions of Ordway classic "Dreaming of Home and Mother" is now the all-time favourites in both countries but has been forgotten by the people of its motherland,USA.Do you know whether there are any recording of the original English version of this Ordway song in grammophone history?If so Do you have any ideas where can they be bought?

There are 2 copies on the Levy collection website, but 1868 is a bit too early for recordings (a 'home' and 'mother' search tunes up 112 other items)

The only recording listed on the UK National Sound Archive is by the Beaufort String Orchestra, no date given.
