A colleague of mine is looking for the lyrics to "Geno" (or Gino) by Dexy's (or Dexies) Midnight Runners.
A Brit pop group from the 80's who also had a hit with "Come on Eileen".
He's drawn a blank on his search, but I thought 'Try Mudcat...'

Can't help you with the lyrics, but the song was "Geno". (About soul artist Geno Washington)

I tried to write down the words from listening to the song, but I can't tell one thing they're saying, except "go Geno".

Geno Washington and the Ram-Jam Band used to play the college circuit in Britain in the late 60's /early 70's. They rocked.

They still rock, and am told they will be doing so at Clare (Suffolk UK) world music festival this july.
