There is a lovely old scottish tune by the name of Katherine (Catherine) Oggie. I heard it several years back on the CBC. I guess it was in the Clyde Gilmour collection. Does anyone know of this tune and where one can get a score?

It's in C. M. Simpson's 'The British Broadside Ballad and Its Music', 1966, among other places. I think that's one I've put in ABC if that will do you. Let me know.

Reprinted Scots books that contain song and tune are Scots Musical Museum, #164, and Orpheus Caledonius, (2nd ed.) II, 1733. John Glen's Early Scottish Melodies, p. 48, 1900 (recently reprinted) gives a copy of the tune from a late 17th century Scots MS. There are many other less readily available copies of the tune.
