Subject: Rock On Rockall From: Harald Date: 17 Nov 97 - 10:40 AM We discussed that song sooner. But I´m not sure about it´s location. The song mentions the Isle of Man and refers to it by it´s making by Finn McCool. But there´s another place called rockall - an island west of the outer Hebrides. And that´s where natural gas has been found. And that´s what the song is about. So: which Rock on Rockall is meant ? Greetings, Harald |

Subject: RE: Rock On Rockall From: Benjamin Bodhra/nai Date: 19 Nov 97 - 06:11 AM harald, Fionn MacCumhaill threw a sod of grass which became the Isle of Man and a pebble which became Rockall, and yes it is the one just off the Hebrides. Check the link you gave for my quote of The House Bands description from their Album Rockall Sla/n Benjamin |
