Subject: Why won't my Paltalk work now? From: Liz the Squeak Date: 13 Apr 01 - 06:01 PM We've just changed our server to one advertised on the Paltalk clicky things, and now I can't get any sound. I've tried doing everything they told me, to the extent that I've re-installed it twice now, and still no sound. The volume is up, the mutes are off, but still not a dicky bird.... can anyone help me, please?? LTS, who has already changed her Paltalk cookie once and is starting to get annoyed! |

There's some strange stuff on here when you guys aren't there.... anyone want to play tonight?? LTS |

Subject: RE: BS: Why won't my Paltalk work now? From: John Routledge Date: 14 Apr 01 - 06:15 AM Nutty - Good question. I think many people have drifted away. Some "core" or "more likely" times/days may be required. And/or more Admin. |

Subject: RE: BS: Why won't my Paltalk work now? From: Jon Freeman Date: 14 Apr 01 - 07:20 AM I think that the only Mudcat rooms around now are the Snug and the Concert room. If anyone knows differently, please let me know so that I can update the FAQ. I open my squiggle's live folk/blues room, which is nothing to with Mudcat as and when I feel like it which may be as little as once a week and my start times are typically late (say 2-3am, GMT). A lot depends on how much I am enjoying Neil's Barn Jam or one of the other open live music rooms and how much I really feel like listening to folk rather than more pop orientated music. Alison has a room called Celtic Friends that I presume she opens as and when she feels like it. Again, this room is nothing to do with Mudcat. Alison's room differs from mine in that it allows recordings - I find it can make a pleasant change. Bagpuss opened a temporary room last night. The room was going well when I suggested the switch to my room. The reason for the switch was that there are no admin rights in temporary rooms and an open temporary room is, IMO, running an unneccesary risk - I like open rooms but not without the ability to remove the mic or bounce a trouble maker (not that we had one last night).
