All I've done is pointed out that numerous people have difficulty in ordering the calander, and that those who have worked out how to do so, might be a bit disappointed in terms of what they get for their $10.

Amergin - isn't your response just a little out of proportion to a fairly pointless comment by someone who (presumably) doesn't know understand what Mudcat is about. The Calendar is definitely worth more than the nominal sum of $10. I know nothing about how movements of money are processed via the internet, but bearing in mind that when I hand a cheque into my local bank they do not process it until 5 to 7 days later, I cannot suspect that getting them to process a payment which I have sent to the opposite side of the Atlantic ocean might be expected to take a while. E-mail might be almost instantaneous banks work on a principle of hanging onto my money forever.
Perhaps Guest or Amergin should be berating international banking systems!

I know Max said something a while back about losing the secure server. He had to buy new software he couldn't afford or something. If it's still up, I don't know that it works. (Of course there's a good chance I'm wrong.)

Thankfully, we all look at the world through different eyes. I must admit that I saw three of the women's pictures before Max posted Allison's pictures. I understand that there are only pictures of eight women in the calendar. I'm not keen on looking at the men. Still, I ordered two copies.

I think as musicians used to gigging it must be that flamers here make us feel like hecklers do at a gig, and we sometimes try to slap the shit down hard and fast, as we might at a gig, as though an audience is sitting right there next to the unpleasant heckler and will help create an atmosphere that continued heckling will be treated by them as uncool. And then we "audience" try to do that, but we aren't really THERE with the offender, and we can't do what we could in person.

Problem is, this forum does not actually work like a gig. So I can't be sitting next to a heckling guest and help the performer with a distraction to the heckler. And of course we don't have a bouncer, and most of us prefer it that way, too.

And I think the causes of the behavior are different too.

Amergin, it is really hard to host a thread once the shit starts to fly. Iddinnit? None of us have solved it. Maybe you can though, and if not here, that's OK too.

I have admitted from the very start that it was something I threw together on my computer... just to get it "out there"...........

I am happy with what I ended up with... some of the pics are blurry (most are not)....... but I included them because people were good enough to send me them.....

this is purely and simply a fun way to raise some money for mudcat......... and $10 is not extortionate......

the amount of messages from people thanking me for convincing them to do something they would not have otherwise done.. is worth the time it took.... they are what I pay attention to... not flamers.....

OK, here's my question, before I pester Max:

I was having difficulty with my email, and until my new email address was functioning, was just reading my mail right off the server. That's when I got the calendar. And I couldn't figure out how to copy the attachment to something I could get back to later, so forwarded it (that was probably my first mistake) to my(paying)self. OK, so the attachment didn't follow because Max is a genius, and now my mail is gone from the server, because I am not.

Any advice?
