Subject: Adieu, Adieu From: bradfordian Date: 21 Apr 01 - 06:11 PM I know this was performed in the 70s by a local group in West Yorks called Threefold. I haven't been able to come across it elsewhere so its time to do what I should have done in the first place. Cheers Baz |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Adieu, Adieu From: GUEST,Dita (at work) Date: 21 Apr 01 - 06:30 PM I'm sure Fairport Convention, recorded a version of this on one of their two Vertigo label albums. Probably "Tipplers Tales." (The other was "Bonnie Bunch of Roses"). They were re-released as a 2for1 CD. Hope this helps love, john. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Adieu, Adieu From: Malcolm Douglas Date: 21 Apr 01 - 09:56 PM Usually, it's a good idea to be just a wee bit more specific about what you're looking for, and quote, if you can, some of the song; titles are often very misleading. It's also a good plan to have a look at the very useful search engines we have here, particularly the "Digitrad and Forum Search", which is prominently displayed on the main Forum Page and which does exactly what its name suggests. A search for adieu adieu would get you, for example, two sets of lyrics in this previous discussion: Adieu Adieu. If you're looking for the set recorded by The Watersons, this link (which you could also have found by searching this site) will take you to Gary Gillard's Watersons pages: Adieu Adieu Malcolm |
