David Maloney has a great song called "Bovine Belching. The chorus goes:
That global warming comes without warning;
Wake up one morning, we'll all be gone,
And bovine belching, it isn't helping;
The ozone's melting.
I wouldn't steer you wrong!

Maybe someone else can post the rest of the lyrics.

Subject: Lyr Add: THIS IS THE WAY THE WORLD ENDS (Bedford)
From: GUEST,songbird

How about this fine song from Artisan written by Brian Bishop.

This is the way the world ends, not with a bang but a bonfire,
After tea we'll murder a tree, then take a dip in a warmer sea,
I'd like to live in a greenhouse, I know it would be fun,
But this is the way the world ends, basking in the sun.

This is the way the world ends, it all goes up in smoke,
Smoke is bad for your health you see, there's many a tree that would agree,
You'll have to live in a greenhouse, I know it isn't fair,
But this is the way the world ends, its a pity I won't be there.

This is the way the world ends, "Timber" is the cry,
I'll clear the land and swing the axe, and leave to you the Inheritance Tax,
I wish you'd seen a forest, kicked autumn leaves in a wood,
But this is the way the world ends, I did it for your own good.

This is the way the world ends, back to the sea we go,
See the rosy glow as you dip your toe, close your mouth by the overflow,
I wish the fish were swimming, not floating on their backs,
But this is the way the world ends, take a break, settle back and relax.

This is the way the world ends, in the ashes of a fire,
Not with a bang but a bonfire, to warm the earth in a funeral pyre,
And set the oceans free.
