It was put to me today that this was too good an opportunity to miss (well, there's no accounting for taste)

MOnster Music man Bill (UK) 01903 202458 says he has a fully restored, serviced, solid state, wooden Lesley cabinet, Hammond Accordian for sale.

I don't whether it's bad form to mention commercial/financial matters here - but thought that maybe out there was some lonely musician looking for the love of his life?

Hope he/she finds it :)

Hate to rain on anybody's parade, but the 'solid state' Hammonds weren't a patch on the old valve (tube!) originals - when in good nick!

I must be getting fatigued...I glanced at the thread title and thought it said RE: Hammond Orgasm. I immediately starting thinking about Marie-Lynn, of course...

Yet another dream that has never been realized, alas.

Ah....There he is! The one 'Catter who really does have a "Hammond Organ."

So tell us Clinton, how well does it play? Does it require a lot of individual practice? Is it better on ballads or jigs? Do you prefer small rooms or cathedrals? Do you find the small size inhibits performance in any way? Ever play a Grand Opening? How much maintenance does it require? Do you feel it's lack of cosmetic beauty has affected it's performance? Do you generally use a case? What kind of pick-up do you use?

Erm, I've got one an' all...

Sadly, it's a 'solid state' one, not a 'proper' one...

...and it's one of those silly 'spinet' style ones with short, staggered manuals and a 13 note apology of a pedal board.

Yeah, I was wondering about Clinton when I saw this post, although now that I think about it, I might think Clinton nowadays when hearing about organs even if I weren't on the Mudcat...

(Do I have to apologize now?)
