Subject: Celtic Stone From: GUEST,celtic983 Date: 30 Apr 01 - 10:00 PM I was just wondering if anyone has heard of the group Celtic Stone, and if anyone knew what happened to them. I heard them as a kid in the late 80's at a festival. They were a great group, mainly hammmered dulcimer music. I think his name was David Clauss. To this day, they are one of my favorite groups, and I have all of there tapes (that is up till the late 80's) I would like to know if they are still around and if so if they had any other albums out. this was the group that got me into celtic music |

Subject: RE: Celtic Stone From: katlaughing Date: 30 Apr 01 - 10:57 PM It looks as though one of the main members has passed away. I found a few pages which mentioned individual members, but the most informative was THIS ONE. Looks as though you may have some collector's editions. Maybe someone else will turn up more. Good luck and welcome to the Mudcat, kat |

Subject: RE: Celtic Stone From: Hollowfox Date: 08 May 01 - 02:21 PM Celtic 983, I hope you check back, it took me a while to find the address where you (or anybody else) can probably still get Celtic Stone casettes. House Morningstar P.O.Box 20094 Houston Texas, 77231 http://www.housemorningstar.com info@housemorningstar.com
They have a store in Houston at 11246 S Post Oak Road #217, Houston, but I saw on one site I found on the Google search to call for an appointment, so I'd keep that in mind. I didn't see any Celtic Stone casettes on their website, but I'd ask just the same. They have a neat variety of things; their main interests deal with horses and things medieval, but there's such a variety that I frequently buy Christmas gifts for people who aren't interested in either of these subjects. And they're nice folks. |

Subject: RE: Celtic Stone From: GUEST,Per Malm Date: 30 May 01 - 06:19 AM Wow! Thanks for the timely thread. I'm currently putting together a website devoted to Celtic Stone (since there's practically nothing about them on the web). It should be up in a week or so. I really don't have that much on them, just what I've gleaned from webpages of various musicians. I only have their first two tapes from '83 & '84. I think I've just about exhausted the resources google can find me. The contact address on the tapes seems to have been current until 1996 or so but is not now. Any other help/info that can be found on Celtic stone will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
