G'day Jeepman,

If she has the music program on which the files were created - as a file attachment to an e-mail.

If they are MIDI - ditto (almost all modern computers play MIDIs). You can produce spectaculat MIDIs, if you know your way around MIDI - and send the full performance!

If you just want to send the 'dots' - as a scanned (say - 1-bit GIF) image of a printed sheet ... or (if you have the right music program ... or add-on) as a PDF 'image' exported from the music program (better quality than a scan)

Alan of Oz's MIDItext program lets you send and translate back text strings containing MIDI and basic ABC information ... but that is a special requirement of economically posting music to this HTML-driven site.

Hope some of this is of help.

Regards,

Bob Bolton

You best bet for file sharing it to get an account at mydocsonline.com and upload them to there, then send your daughter an email invitation to download them... it's easy peasy puddin' and pie!

What format your music is in will probably determine which method of transfering is easiest for you. if they are sound recordings - .wav; .au; even mp3 (which are smaller) - Clinton's suggestion or a similar setup would probably be best.

Images can also clog a mailbox and are often best treated by putting into an area where the other person can download.

midi's and a lot of the file produced by the various notation programs are quite easily sent by e-mail.
