As I remember, you took a piece of paper and wrote a column of numbers on the left-hand side. Then you wrote a list of common grocery items, then asked me to read them back to you. What came out of my mouth was a newfoundland vernacular expression. I can't be more specific, 'cause I don't remember. Does that help?

The only thing that comes to mind, is, an example of how they talk in Newfoundland. Say these words as you would a sentence.
