Subject: RE: Tune Req: Queen of Sheba From: GUEST Date: 06 May 01 - 08:14 PM There are lots of midi files around. If you have the technology to corvert the 'top line' of these to printed music you should have no problem. Do you have noteworthy? There was a really nice arrangement posted in the noteworthy newsgroup a few years back: for flute and piano I think |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Queen of Sheba From: alison Date: 07 May 01 - 04:06 AM I have the technology.......... (musicator)... but the melody does pop around between the right and left hands.. I was just wondering if there was a "dance" type arrangement where they have adjusted it to be all in one.... if I have to I can "fix" it... just trying to save myself some work.... slainte alison |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Queen of Sheba From: Geoff the Duck Date: 07 May 01 - 02:59 PM I did transcribe it from some printed music to play on Hammered Dulcimer. I'll see if I can find it and scan it. I could then e-mail a graphic file you could print off, if that was any use to you. Quack! GtD |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Queen of Sheba From: Sorcha Date: 07 May 01 - 03:18 PM De Dannan did a version with Frankie on fiddle called The Queen of Sheba (Arrives in Galway) It would all be in the treble, I could make a cassette and send it, but it would not arrive soon, and might not be the Classical style you want........ |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Queen of Sheba From: Geoff the Duck Date: 07 May 01 - 03:49 PM We had the De Dannan version played at out wedding for Jane's entrance. We also played Angel on the Mantlepiece, by Charle O'Connor, who used to sing (Fiddle and Mandolin) with Horslips. One of my all time favourite bands. |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Queen of Sheba From: Geoff the Duck Date: 08 May 01 - 05:22 PM Hi Alison. I've found the transcript of the Queen of Sheba and scanned it (four A4 pages scanned at 300 dpi). If you send me an e-mail address via Mudcat Mail, I can forward the files to you. If you have a preferred graphic format I can save them in I will try to do so. Cheers Geoff. |
