Subject: The Lake of the Caogama From: GUEST,aengus finnan Date: 07 May 01 - 02:18 PM I'm looking for the tune (and additional lyrics) for one of the first songs I ever heard when we came to Canada in the mid 70's (I was just a boy). The song is "The Lake of the Caogama" the first verse is Oh now we're leaving home me boys, to Ottawa we'll go Hoping for to be employed, adn yet we do not know We met with old Tim Paterson sayin' "Ain't you goin awa" I'm going up the Gatineau round the lake of the Caogama There is no chorus that I know of Cheers Aengus info@sheltervalley.com |
