Well, Jim Dixon got most of it a while ago.

Combining Jim Dixon's one and my transcription of Chas n Dave's version, which you can watch here

BILLY MUGGINS
(Harry Bluff)

I'm Billy Muggins, commonly known as the juggins.
I'm silly Billy, and that's what my friends call me.
My landlord asked me to go out for a drink.
I told him, "No, thank you. I'll stay home, I think."
I'm Muggins, the juggins,
And Muggins I'll always be.

I'm Billy Muggins, commonly known as the juggins.
I'm silly Billy, and that's what my friends call me.
But my landlady thinks I'm a bit of a riot
She treats me to whiskey and beer all de night
I'm Muggins the juggins,
And Muggins I'll always be.

Additionally, another website has these lyrics:

BILLY MUGGINS
(Charles Ridgwell)

My name is Billy Muggins, but for that I'm not to blame
Some people say that I am just as silly as my name
I'm working at a factory, my work mates never mix with me
Each night they all go in the pub, while I go home and have some grub.

CHORUS
I'm Billy Muggins - commonly known as a Juggins
Silly Billy, that's what my friends call me
I'm quite content with my own little lot
I mean to stick to the money I've got
I'm Muggins the Juggins, and Muggins I'll always be...

I had an invitation from some friends the other day
They'd got a big card party on, so I went there to play
When I arrived 'twas plain to see, a fool, they thought, they'd got in me
But when I'd finished playing there, I'd won ten pounds I do declare.

CHORUS
I'm Billy Muggins - commonly known as a Juggins
Silly Billy, that's what my friends call me
When I had got their ten sov'reigns all right
Why did I get up and bid them good night?
I'm Muggins the Juggins, and Muggins I'll always be...

My brother lost a breach of promise case, and had to pay
The nice love-letters he wrote to the girl gave him away
I courted once that self-same Miss, she might have breach of promised this
Although I said she should be mine, to her I never wrote a line.

CHORUS
I'm Billy Muggins - commonly known as a Juggins
Silly Billy, that's what my friends call me
When she said love-letters gave her delight
Why did I tell her I could not write?
I'm Muggins the Juggins, and Muggins I'll always be...

I never stay out late at night, I never want to roam
My landlady is good to me, so Muggins stops at home
My landlord thinks it only right for him to stop out late at night
Why does he leave a chap like me to keep his missus company?

CHORUS
I'm Billy Muggins - commonly known as a Juggins
Silly Billy, that's what my friends call me
Why does my landlady call me a 'dear'
Treat me to 'smokes' and to bottles of beer?
I'm Muggins the Juggins, and Muggins I'll always be.

It seems Jim Dixon already found the lyrics for "Rolling 'Round the World"- see below:

Subject: Lyr Add: ROLLING 'ROUND THE WORLD (Scott Sanders)
From: Jim Dixon - PM

Lyrics copied from http://lyricsplayground.com/alpha/songs/r/rollingroundtheworld.shtml

ROLLING 'ROUND THE WORLD
(Scott Sanders, 1926?)

Rolling 'round the world,
Looking for the sunshine
That never seems to come my way;
Rolling 'round the world,
Where every little milestone
Seems to look at me and say:
"Bye-bye, rainy days. Bye-bye, snow.
Got no time to waste. I must go."
Rolling 'round the world,
Looking for the sunshine
I know I'm going to find some day.

REPEAT

[Recorded by Chas & Dave; Eric Winstone & His Orchestra; Richard Keeling; Max Bygraves (vocal) with Bob Miller and His Millermen; Jimmy Leach & His New Organolians; Donald Peers; Carol Dorée (vocal) with Alan Jones & His Orchestra; and several others. - This information from The British Library Sound Archive Catalogue.]

My father used to sing:

I'm Billy Muggins
Commonly known as the juggins
Silly Billy that's what they all call me....

I'm quite contented with my little lot
I'm quite content with the money I've got
'cause I'm muggins the juggins and muggins I'll always be.

this has always seemed rather disjointed. Hence my search of the internet.

I think I hve the sheet music somewhere at home. If you can email me a postal address I will try and find it, but it could take a few weeks as my filing leavres a lot to be desired at the moment.

Billy Weeks--

Thanks for the info on "Sing Us One of the Old Songs." I wish I could afford the $90.00 price tag at Amazon; it sounds like a great reference.

I don't have ready access to a public library. Guess I'll have to make a list of all the music hall lyric requests and do an omnibus copy job next visit.

According to AMG - All Music Guide, ROLLIN' ROUND THE WORLD (Saunders/Scott) (sic) is included on an album called "Best of Barbershop Quartet" by The Square Pegs, Emporio CD 823, 1999.
* * *
Also, a site called British Vintage Music Films: Films featuring British Dance Bands, 1929-1946 has a description of a film called "Playtime for Workers" from 1943, starring Stan Sheddon and His Playtimers. The compere was Gerry Wilmot; the vocalists were The Cavendish Three (Kay Cavendish, Helen Raymond and Pat Rigold), Scott Sanders (sic), Bill Smith, and Maurice Taylor; and the songs were:

South Rampart Street Parade
It Ain't Watcha Do
When You And I Were Young, Maggie
Annie Laurie
Comin' Thro' the Rye
Carry Me Back to the Lone Prairie
Home on the Range
United We Stand
Jealousy
And So Do I
Rolling Round the World
The Japanese, the Jerries and the Wops

Obviously, some more searching using variant spellings is in order, but I don't have time to do it right now. Maybe later.

Folktrax has another quote:

Now I'm Billy Muggins although I'm not to blame.
Working in the factory,
My workmates never mix with me.
Each night they all go in the pub
But I go home and have some grub.

CHORUS: Silly Billy, that's what my friends call me...

Bit of a diversion but "Silly Billy" was an old clown character from 19th Century London. He's mentioned along with Henry Mayhew's street people. Joy

As always with music hall material, look first in Michael Kilgarriff's monumental catalogue 'Sing Us One of the Old Songs', 1998.   'Billy Muggins, by Charles Ridgwell was sung by Charles Whittle and published by Francis Day and Hunter in 1906. Ridgwell also wrote 'If those lips could only speak' and 'I'mShy, Mary Ellen, I'm Shy'.

We used to have a character in Wednesbury we called Billy Muggins, a half wit who left a tidy sum of money -all from his "tinkering" (literally) mending posts, pans, bicycle wheels etc and pushing his workshop around on a box shaped 2 wheeled cart - handle pointing forwards.
Ideal fodder to write a song wanted to with "mutton chops" - looks like I may not need to now. Waiting for the rest of it....

But my landlady thinks I'm a bit of all right.
She treats me to whiskey and tea all night.

Sheet Music Warehouse is offering a copy of "Rolling Around the World," from 1927, for £7.

It seems to have been recorded several times.

I'd appreciate some help with a request made by a neighbour. He is looking for the lyrics for two music hall songs he remembers from younger days. The first is 'Billy Muggins' - first line 'My name is Billy Muggins, some say I'm a bit of a juggins'. An internet search reveals this to have been sung originally by Harry Bluff (around 1910)and more recently recorded by Chas and Dave. you can even listen to a bit of that recording on line but I don't think the whole song is there. The second is 'Rolling round the world', sung originally by Scott Sanders and recorded more recently by the Yetties.
