Subject: RE: Eliza Carthy Live Webcast From: Charlie Baum Date: 09 May 01 - 05:08 PM The webcast will be available for viewing after the live performance on demand, anytime you'd like to hear it. And the evening before (May 8th, last night as I write this) was a Webcast by Waterson:Carthy, a more traditional program, with her parents Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson, and two other blokes names Tim and Ben, whose last names I didn't catch. (I was at the Millennium Stage live to see them last night, and I'm about to go off now to see the performance mentioned above.) The archived programs are available at http://www.kennedy-center.org/programs/millennium/archive.html, or click here. Then search for "Carthy." --Charlie Baum |

Subject: RE: Eliza Carthy Live Webcast From: KingBrilliant Date: 10 May 01 - 07:04 AM Wow - that's a great site. I'll be dipping into the archives this afternoon - starting with Eliza. Cheers Kris |
Subject: RE: Eliza Carthy Live Webcast From: Abby Sale Date: 10 May 01 - 08:30 AM I was very pleased to catch the whole family live the other night. While there's absolutely no practical difference from the archived version (except that in the archived version you can Pause and repeat) it felt different to hear them live. They never d get to Florida otherwise. The Millennium Stage is a terriffic idea - nightly interesting performances and all archived & free webcast. So many worth hearing - or even just checking out. Superb! |
